Mid-term 1, 2025 update and Ramadan Timings – Letter by Dr Ahdielah Edries

Asalamu Alaykum

Dear Parents and Guardians,

As we reach the mid-term point of the school year, we would like to take a moment to express our sincere thanks for your ongoing support and commitment to our school community. Your timely payment of school and bus fees has been greatly appreciated and has contributed to the smooth functioning of our school. A reminder to those parents who have committed to the fortnightly direct debit option to make an appointment with the front office to assist you with the calculations. Please remember that there is still an opportunity to avail the 20% upfront discount.

We would also like to acknowledge the important role you play in ensuring the success of our school by adhering to the rules and protocols we have set in place. Your efforts in informing teachers of your child’s absence, ensuring timely arrivals to school, picking up students by 3:35pm, and ensuring students have healthy snacks and lunches, all contribute to a positive and productive school environment.

We appreciate your commitment to ensuring your child wears the correct and clean school uniform and value the communication with teachers to support their learning. Additionally, your support in returning all school forms on time (ACARA data collection & high school internet agreement is due by Monday 24th February), ensuring that students do not bring mobile phones to school, and working with our wellbeing staff when issues regarding student behaviour arise, has been invaluable.

As we continue to work together as partners, we know that this collaboration between home and school will ensure the continued success of all our students, In Sha Allah!

Important Notice for the Month of Ramadan:

We would like to inform you that during the month of Ramadan, our school timings will be adjusted to accommodate the needs of our community. The new school hours will be one hour shorter, with Modbury finishing at 2:05pm and Parafield at 2:30pmThese changes will commence on Monday, March 3rd, and conclude on Friday, March 28th.Please ensure that you make the necessary arrangements to pick up your children on time, as our staff will need to leave promptly to prepare for family obligations. There will NOT be any supervision after 2:30pm.

We kindly ask that any students who are not fasting during this month respect their peers by only bringing one snack and a sandwich and drink for lunch.

We wish you and your family a peaceful and blessed Ramadan filled with Almighty’s Choicest Blessings, Ameen.

Thank you once again for your ongoing support. Together, we can ensure the success and wellbeing of our students, Ameen.
