The event opened with a moving Quranic Recitation, Welcome to Country, and the Australian National Anthem, setting a tone of unity and respect for the celebrations ahead.
Dr Ahdielah Edries, Principal, delivered a heartfelt speech acknowledging the achievements of our graduates and expressing gratitude to those who work tirelessly behind the scenes for the success of the school.
Mr Kerim Buday, School Director, shared inspiring words, wishing the graduates well and providing updates on exciting school projects that are shaping our future.
Dr Bronwyn Donaghey, Head of Policy, Funding & Compliance AISSA, encouraged the graduates with her well-wishes as they embark on diverse career paths.
Hon. John Fulbrook MP reflected on the school’s accomplishments over the academic year and shared his best wishes for the graduating class and the entire school community.
Shaykh Abdulsalam Alim, Quran and Islamic Studies Teacher, offered invaluable advice, encouraging the graduates to follow the Quran and Sunnah as a guide to becoming positive contributors to society.
Our graduates proudly received their Certificates of Recognition, followed by heartfelt speeches sharing their personal school journeys and the memories they’ll cherish forever.
Alumni Ms Lujain Mahmoud inspired students and parents alike with her story of persistence, sharing her experiences at Garden College and university life.
Distinguished students were honoured with Awards for Excellence, including the prestigious Dux 2024 Award, celebrating their hard work and achievements.
The Year 12 Community Service Award, presented on behalf of Hon. Nick Champion MP, recognised a graduate for their outstanding contributions to the community.
The Outstanding Achievement Award was presented by ICMG Representative and School Board Member Mr Hakan Ozdemir, recognising exceptional accomplishments.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt Final Dua by Shaykh Abdulsalam Alim, followed by the symbolic cap tossing, marking the end of one chapter and the start of another.
Special acknowledgements were made for the contributions of Ms Saniye and Mr Davos, with a closing statement by Mr Davos that brought the day to a perfect end.
