Today, Abdullah Mohamed, one of our Year 12 students, delivered the Friday Khutbah to our High School students on the Importance of Akhlaq (Good character) in Islam and its rewards.
His insightful speech highlighted how Akhlaq, or good character, is a cornerstone of our faith. It encompasses our behaviour towards Allah, others, and even the environment. Abdullah explained that the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) said: “I have been sent to perfect good character” (Sahih Bukhari), emphasising its significance.
He stressed the importance of sincerity, humility, and gratitude in our relationship with Allah and highlighted how kindness, honesty, patience, and justice are crucial in our interactions with others. Abdullah also shared that good Akhlaq fosters love and respect in this life and promises great rewards in the Hereafter.
This Khutbah was beneficial for our students, reminding them to embody these values daily, thereby demonstrating the beauty of our faith. May Allah guide us to improve our character and make us beloved by Him and His creation. Ameen.
